Dogs will have different impacting traits, referred to as stats.

There will be 8 core stats for the dogs that impact their performance in the DoRac metaverse, also worth mentioning that stats affect one another both ways, positive and negative.

  • Strength - represents the physical strength of the dog.
  • Health - represents the health of the dog in form of health points [HP]. Health points shell be 100 at any given time for dog to be interactable.
Health regen rate: 1 point per 1 minute
  • Weight - represents dogs physical weight. (One[1] point in weight penalizes agility stat by 0.3 points)
  • Agility - will determine your dog's speed. (One point of agility adds speed of 2km/h)
  • Stamina - will determine your dog's ability to participate in daily races, tournaments, and championships, if stamina hits 0 your dog is not able to participate in an activity mentioned before nor can it be trained or bred, because it is exhausted.
Stamina regen rate: 1 stamina point per 1 minute.
  • Endurance - dogs' ability to endure difficult processes or situations without giving way.
  • Power - represents the dog's ability to generate a surge of power burst.
  • Luck - this will be the only trait that is untrainable or improvable, it will be the only trait that can be inherited from the dog’s parents. This stat will boost your dog's chance of successful training, winning races and not getting injured during races. Luck will determine if any and what RNG events are triggered during the race.

Each dog will also have two[2] informative indexes:

  • Toughness - an index that represents dogs' physical toughness.
  • Swiftness - an index that represents dogs' overall athleticism.

These indexes as of now and at the launch of the game won't play any role, won't affect dog performance in the race, and won't affect the game in any way until announced otherwise.

Example of how a dog's speed is determined:
A dog has 20 agility and its weight is 10. That means that dog's movement speed is 40km/h(20 x 2) and is reduced by 3 cause he has 10 weight points (10x0.3) resulting in a speed of  34 km/h.

In addition to the main stats, dogs will vary by sex and cosmetic features such as color and patterns, which will allow them to stand out during the races.

Dogs will have a set duration of race career. A dog’s race career begins from the first attended training session, breeding session, or its first race. Each dog is valid for racing and breeding for 240 days, after that, it can only be used for breeding for up to 125 days. After the racing and breeding period, the dog will not be able to participate in races or breed and will be "retired". This mechanism is implemented to prevent overpopulation within the game. Race career is affected by stimulants.

Worth noting that dogs that are acquired via breeding will have their race career activated right after the maturation period, so BREED SMART!!

Doracians companion.

DoRac race dogs have the potential to become companions to Doracians, thus being able to assist them in their daily deed to make a name for them selves within the world of DoRac. However, certain conditions must be met beforehand:

  • race dog with 36 days in its race career or has reached 10% of its race run limits:
service fee for "two way conversion" - 1200 DRT
service fee for "one way conversion" - free
  • race dog with 60 days in its race career or has reached 20% of its race run limits
service fee for "two way conversion" - 500 DRT
service fee for "one way conversion" - free
  • race dog with 96 days in its race career or has reached 25% of its race run limits
service fee for conversion - FREE

It's important to note that these conditions do not apply to dogs with the "Founding Dog" title. These special dogs are able to become companions from day 0, which means when their "race career" is activated.

*Please not "one way conversion" means that dog wont be able to be used in dog racing after this action is performed, where on other hand "two way conversion" means that dog will still be able to take part in dog racing.

Injuries

Injuries that may occur on dogs during the race [via bad event] or during a training session are divided into 3 main groups and 2 subsections for 2nd and 3rd injury group.

Dogs can regenerate health points in idle status with a rate of 1 health point per 6 seconds[during TestNet testing] but can't treat physical injuries which have occurred during the race or training session.
Lost HP[Health Points] and injuries can be treated in the medical center.
HP regen rate will be changed and adjusted for all dogs in MainNet.

Light injury: dog loses 20 health points, dogs agility is reduced by 8-10%

  • training session: health points lost 20, -5 stamina points. [intensity: 1]
  • during the race: health points lost 20, agility is reduced by 8-9%[randomly selected][short lasting] , the dog can proceed with the race.
  • during the race [long lasting, race only]: health points lost 13, dogs agility is reduced by 2% [per event] - may stack up to 5 times.

Medium injury group [short/long, medium light/medium heavy]: dog loses 40-65 health points, and agility is reduced by 10-15%.

#medium light:

  • training session: health points lost 40-50, -10 stamina points [intensity: 2]

  • during the race [long lasting, race only]: health points lost 17, agility is reduced by 3% [per event] - may stack up to 4 times.

#medium heavy:

  • training session: health points lost 55-65, -15 stamina points [intensity: 3]
  • during the race: [short lasting]health points lost 55-65, agility is reduced by 13-15%[randomly selected], the dog can proceed with the race.
  • during the race [long lasting, race only]: health points lost 22, agility is reduced by 5% [per event] - may stack up to 3 times

Heavy injury group [medium heavy/heavy]: dog loses 70-99 health points, agility reduced by 100%.

#light heavy:

  • training session: cant occur during the traning session.
  • during the race: health point lost 70-98, agility is reduced by 100%, the dog cant proceed with the race

#heavy:

  • training session: cant occur during the traning session.
  • during the race: health point lost 99, dog is in critical condition, needs immediate hospitalisation.

Dog merging

The "Elder" rank for a dog can be obtained by merging retired dogs from the same bloodline:
10 retired Falon's merge into 1 Elder Falon.
10 retired Belphegor's merge into 1 Elder Belphegor.
10 retired Cinder's merge into 1 Elder Cinder.
10 retired Bes's merge into 1 Elder Bess.
10 retired Barto's merge into 1 Elder Barto.
10 retired Scruffy's merge into 1 Elder Scruffy.

Superior bloodline merging:
2 Scruffy's merge into 1 Barto
2 Barto's merge into 1 Bess
2 Bess's merge into 1 Cinder
2 Cinder's merge into 1 Belphegor
2 Belphegor's merge into 1 Falon

*Only retired dogs are eligible for merging.
**Elder merge outcome will always be a male dog.

Breeding

Two NFT dogs create (or breed) a third NFT dog. Players can select 2 NFT dogs for breeding, one must be male and the other female. Each dog has its unique features on how it looks, and dog stats that affect how it performs on a racetrack. All physical characteristics and stats are visible to users. Luck, agility, weight, and stamina - are key factors in winning races and can only be viewed on scoreboards at the end of a race. The breeding procedure can only be started if both dogs have 100 health points and 100 stamina points.

Breeding limits:
Female - 6 times per race career/365 days.
Male - 6 times per race career/365 days.

Both NFT dogs are sent to the Genetic Algorithm (GA) via Binance smart chain contract. The GA generates a third NFT dog combining the genes from the parent dogs. A weaker breed is more dominant in breeding, this means that if you breed Sctuffy with Bess more likely the baby will be scruffy and so on. A newborn baby gets his stats depending on which breed it is, for more details on dog stats refer to the stat table up top under Dog Breeds.

After the breeding process is completed, the parent NFTs are given back to their owners together with their offspring. There are two types of breeding processes:

  • Private: A single player owns both parents' NFTs (one male and one female).
  • Collaboration: Two players (one owning a male, the other a female) partner up to breed their dog. The male owner can ask the female owner for payment for providing the male, and the female owner keeps the offspring.

These little puppies will be unique as well as the adult race dogs. Each puppy will take time to mature before they’re able to participate in competitions. But don’t worry the time when the puppy is maturing won't be lost. When a puppy is too young to participate in races you can train them to gain valuable stats that will be beneficial to compete once it’s a grown-up dog. The maturing process takes 96 hours. Dogs and their offspring can't be bred with their parents but can be bred with their siblings and another relative in their bloodline tree, this will count as inbreed which will result in a newborn with reduced physical attributes.

Breeding costs

First breeding cost:
$DORC tokens equivalent to 150 BUSD + 3200 [$DRT - DoRac Reward Token].
Example with $DORC public price at the IDO.

Each subsequent breeding cost:
previous $DORC token price with an additional $DORC [100 BUSD equivalent] + previous $DRT with an additional 50% from the previous $DRT procedure price.

1. 37 500 $DORC + 3200 $DRT
2. 62 500 $DORC + 4800 $DRT
3. 87 500 $DORC + 7200 $DRT [requires level 2 building or if bred in 1 level building +50% $DRT]
4. 112 500 $DORC + 10800 $DRT [requires level 2 building or if bred in 1 level building +50% $DRT]
5. 137 500 $DORC + 16200 $DRT [requires level 3 building or if bred in 2 level building +50% $DRT, level 1 +100% $DRT]
6. 162 500 $DORC + 24300 $DRT [requires level 3 building or if bred in 2 level building +50% $DRT, level 1 +100% $DRT]

Lock-out periods

There is a “lock-out period” between breeding procedures and races which is dependent on the dog’s bloodline.
Lock-out period for racing and next breeding procedure:
Scruffy - 24 hours followed by: [(24+12)(36+12)(48+24)(72+24)(96+24)]
Barto - 36 hours followed by: [(36+12)(48+12)(60+24)(84+24)(108+24)]
Bess - 48 hours followed by: [(48+12)(60+12)(72+24)(96+24)(120+24)]
Cinder - 60 hours followed by: [(60+12)(72+12)(84+24)(108+24)(132+24)]
Belphegor - 72 hours followed by: [(72+12)(84+12)(96+24)(120+24)(144+24)]
Falon - 84 hours followed by: [(84+12)(96+12)(108+24)(132+24)(156+24)]

These limitations also apply to racing, if the dog was in the breeding procedure, he's exhausted and can't race for the same amount of time.

Dog retirement and early retirement

Dogs whose race career has come to an end are retired automatically. Retired dogs can't be raced or bred. Dogs can go on early retirement if the right conditions are met. Retired dogs are subject to "MERGE" and "Soul extraction". The dog retires automatically after it takes part in the 9600th run. (40 runs [per 24 hours] * 240 days of race career) {can be reached by spending 6 full stamina bars per day}. Dogs also retire after the 6th breeding procedure.

Keep in mind that these estimates on a dog’s race career race count limits are based on the assumption that no consumables will be consumed and only basic stamina regen rates apply.

A dog can go on early retirement for superior bloodline merge if it has taken part in at least 3 breeding procedures and has reached 30% [2800 runs] or has reached 60% [5760 runs] of its race career runs.
A dog can go on early retirement for soul extraction for SSC [Soul Stone Crusher] if it has taken part in at least 4 breeding procedures and has reached 40% [3840 runs] or has reached 80% [7680 runs] of its race career runs.
A dog can go on early retirement for the "Elder" merge if it has taken part in at least 4 breeding procedures and has taken part in 35% [3360 runs] or has taken part in 70% [6720 runs] of its race career runs.

*Early retirement will cost a set amount of DRT [DoRac Reward Token] yet to be announced.
